چکیده

The green synthesis of nanoparticles has been a vital aspect in the search for novel antimicrobial agents. This research aimed at biosynthesis, characterization and preliminary evaluation antibacterial properties silver (AgNPs) from back extract Annona senegalensisis. bark senegalensis was scraped stem, washed, air-dried, pulverised extracted. Four millilitre (4 ?ml) pipetted into 36 ?mL (36 nitrate solution (5 ?mM AgNO3) conical flask. resulting subjected to magnetic stirring room temperature (28 ?°C ?± ?2) till AgNPs were formed. synthesized filtered, washed with deionized water dried oven 40 ?°C. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis carried out on AgNPs. also characterized UV–visible spectrophotometer (UV), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission microscopy (TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy ascertain physico-chemical morphological investigation following standard method. observation colour change (pale yellow dark brown) during maximum absorbance wavelength 431.19 ?nm UV spectrum confirmed formation FTIR showed that biomolecules responsible reduction ion contain O–H functional groups. studies indicated AgNPS are spherical shape sizes 11–24.76 ?nm. EDX high amount few other elements. study zones inhibition 22.75–33.75 against tested bacteria. simplicity stem senegalensisis relatively inhibitions shown by strong evidences possible application therapeutic agent infections bacteria fungi.

Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles: characterization and determination of antibacterial potency

Silver ions (Ag+) and its compounds are highly toxic to microorganisms, exhibiting strong biocidal effects on many species of bacteria but have a low toxicity toward animal cells. In the present study, silver nanoparticles (SNPs) were biosynthesized using aqueous extract of Chlorella vulgaris as reducing agent and size of SNPs synthesized ranged between 15 and 47 nm. SNPs were characterized by ...
